For Educators
A methodology built on real stories, guided by educational science
The Pawnomics collection has been developed under the supervision of a specialist psychopedagogue with expertise in children with special learning difficulties. Every book and educator resource draws from established educational frameworks to create a methodology that is both rigorous and deeply human.
The educational approach behind Pawnomics was reviewed and guided by a specialist psychopedagogue who works specifically with children facing learning challenges. This expertise ensures that the books and resources are not only engaging but also accessible to children with diverse cognitive profiles, including Down syndrome, autism spectrum, Asperger's, cerebral palsy, and visual impairment.
The methodology does not claim to replace existing educational programs. Instead, it offers a complementary resource that uses narrative and real animal characters as the vehicle for introducing financial concepts. The idea is simple: children learn best when they care about what they are learning. Real animals with real personalities create that care naturally.
Each book includes a companion educator guide with discussion questions, classroom activities, and assessment templates. These materials are designed to be flexible enough for mainstream classrooms, special education settings, and one-on-one tutoring situations.
Educational frameworks referenced in our methodology
JumpStart Coalition
The national standards for financial literacy in K-12 education provide the foundation for what concepts are introduced at each level. Pawnomics aligns its story content with these age-appropriate benchmarks.
Council for Economic Education (CEE)
The CEE frameworks guide how economic concepts are sequenced across grade levels. The Pawnomics collection follows this progression from basic recognition to applied understanding.
CCSS Mathematics Standards
Mathematical practices from the Common Core are woven into the stories: counting, comparing quantities, understanding value, and making simple calculations in context.
CASEL Social-Emotional Learning
Every story builds emotional intelligence alongside financial literacy. Self-awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision-making are embedded in each character's journey.
Bloom's Taxonomy
The three collections follow cognitive progression: Collection 1 focuses on remembering and understanding, Collection 2 on applying and analyzing, Collection 3 on evaluating and creating.
Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
Every book and guide follows UDL principles from page one. Multiple means of representation, expression and engagement ensure accessibility for learners with diverse needs and abilities.
What educator resources include
